What is Parks Canada Agency?
The Parks Canada team is a group of passionate people who are committed to protecting and enhancing Canada's outstanding natural and cultural resources. We administer a network of national parks, national marine conservation areas, and national historic sites in every region of the country! We are working hard to maintain the ecological integrity of our places, increase the amount of land protected, and undertake green initiatives to ensure that Canadians can enjoy these places for generations to come. To give just a few examples, we are responsible for maintaining the hiking trails in the national parks, are involved in the protection of the St. Lawrence beluga whale, and in the ecological and cultural interpretation of our locations.
Do you enjoy the outdoors? Parks Canada employees have free access to all of our national parks, national historic sites, and national marine conservation areas across the country! In addition, Parks Canada employees have access to the full range of benefits offered to the federal public service: medical insurance, drug insurance, dental insurance, disability insurance, pension plan, etc. (Certain conditions and waiting periods may apply.)
We are also committed to an inclusive and barrier-free workplace, beginning with the selection process. If you require accommodation at any stage of the assessment process, please send an email to concoursapca-apcacompetitions@pc.gc.ca. Information received regarding accommodation will be treated confidentially.

What is an inventory?
When you apply to this process, you are not applying to a specific position, but to an inventory in the event that positions become available. As positions become available, candidates who meet the qualifications may be contacted for evaluation.
What makes inventories different from other job postings? You only apply once, but you may be considered for several jobs. Don't worry, even if you are not selected for a position, your application remains in the inventory and can be selected again throughout the lifespan of the inventory. The inventory will be updated every 45 days. You will receive an email with instructions on how to update your application if necessary, or to withdraw your application.
We strongly encourage you to demonstrate how you meet the assets at the time of your application. Depending on the number of applicants, volume management strategies such as random selection, top-down approach, and/or setting passing scores to determine who will continue in the staffing process may be used for application management purposes. Please note that while you may achieve the established pass mark for any of the assessments used in this staffing process, management may decide to use a higher pass mark.
Since management may decide to view job applications at any time, it is best to submit your application as soon as possible!
